Evergreen State of Mind

The project titled “Evergreen State of Mind” is a body of work that features photography and audio slideshows focused on 5 different terrains of Washington State. Using different forms of photography and audio recording, the project is culminated into an online gallery. We traveled to the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge, Palouse Falls State Park, Mt. Rainier National Park, the Hoh Rainforest in the Olympic National Park and Rialto Beach on the Coast. At each location, park rangers were interviewed to give information and their perspectives. Washington hosts wetlands, mountain ranges, canyons, rainforests, and is framed on the West Coast by the Pacific Ocean. As the world is changing, both technologically and environmentally, it is important to remind the younger generations of the natural beauty that their home has to offer.
